Winter Wellness

ACTIVITIES

At Winter Wellness the days are full of snow activities as well as social-emotional learning! Here is a glimpse at what some of the activities at Camp Tamarack could be! Here are some the terms that we use to organize our days:

Wolf Pack Time: Our community is broken into small groups called Wolf Packs that work together during their time at camp. They practice social-emotional skills that help to make them stronger individuals and as a result- a healthier community.

Recreation Activities: Each day a wide range of activities are offered for students to choose from. From sledding to crafting these are great chances for our students to get out some extra energy and enjoy the company of their peers.

BINGO

Every snack time is also BINGO time! We love to hand out prizes including extra sweet snacks to Camp Tamarack swag!

Sledding

Sledding

When we have lots of snow- the best thing to do is to take on our sledding hill! A favorite recreation activity to get out some extra energy!

Snack

Offered twice a day during Winter Wellness because we know our Middle School students are growing humans!

Wolf Pack 2

Wolf Pack 2

With slightly more challenging activities, this time is focused on regulating emotions and being able to move on from mistakes.

Wolf Pack 1

Wolf Pack 1

The beginning of a series of action based activities that challenge our students to grow as individuals and as a community!

Wolf Pack 3

Wolf Pack 3

The final group time brings about the biggest challenge- supported slack-lining! All our groups get the chance to support each other in this culminating activity!

Snowshoeing

Snowshoeing

When there is enough snow, we like to snowshoe in and out of camp to experience the magic that is our woods in the winter.

Hiking

Hiking

If there isn't enough snow, we enjoy a nice hike in and out of camp anyways! It is always beautiful in the woods around camp.

Reflection Activities

Reflection Activities

Without the time and space to reflect, there is not usually growth. We practice gratitude and inclusion in our reflection activities.

Campfire

Campfire

We love to have goofy skits and songs that bring laughter and joy to our campfires. We believe you are never to old to laugh and sing with your friends!
